1. What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback, and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

2. How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you.

We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website. If you agree, we shall pass on your personal information within the Wired Group so they may offer you their products or services.

Wired Orthodontics Ltd and Wired Education Ltd will not share your information for marketing purposes outside of the Wired Group.

All online transactions are processed through World Pay and potentially subject to credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.

4. Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some, or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at the following address. This information is provided within 72 hours for free.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

5. Data retention

The Wired Group will retain your data for as long is necessary. We will keep your details on the Smile Store database for 12 months, at which point we will contact you to confirm if you would like to be removed from our systems.

We will keep your details on the Orthodontic Solutions Forum database for 12 months, at which point we will contact you to confirm if you would like to be removed from our systems.

6. Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

7. Our agents

We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include: delivering packages, running and administering our online booking systems, sending postal mail and processing credit card payments. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but cannot use it for other purposes.

8. Patient information

Additionally, we are processors of patient information such as impressions of teeth, fit date, treatment objective and treatment plan as well as information which identifies the patient such as name, last name, date of birth and sometimes title (Mr, Mrs, Dr). Patient details are recorded to identify the course of treatment with the right individual.

This information is only used to fulfil treatment objectives. If you do not have permission to send on the patients details to us for treatment we will use an alternative reference method.

9. Payments

All online transactions made through our Smile Store or ‘training & courses’ booking page are PCI DSS compliant as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Discover.

All details provided during payments is not stored and secured by 128 bit encryption methods.

10. Third-party websites linked to Wired’s services

Online Store & Online Course

Our store and online course is hosted on an AES encrypted server under a third-party provider. This e-commerce platform allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your name, practice address and purchase history is stored on this system database.

Orthodontic Solutions Forum

Our support forum is a membership service locked behind a password protected login on an AES encrypted server. Only non personal information is collected, personal information is not shared.

Cloud Backup

Wired Orthodontics Ltd makes cloud backups of all digital laboratory patient  cases under a third-party provider, utilising AES-256 encryption. Only your name/reference will be associated with these files under encryption and password protected.

Our website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to our privacy policy

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on 11th April 2018.

Your information is held by us with your permission, you have::
